Jo and Colin’s first date was exactly one year to the day of the wedding day, these guys don’t mess around!  Joanna arrived in style in a white soft top porsche… Colin walked from the pub!!

Jo wore  a Benjamin Roberts dress on the day, very elegant.  Flowers were arranged by The White Garden in Henley,

Capturing the day with me was videographer, Rupert Ward-Lewis.  He did a fantastic job the finished edit i’ll pop on my facebook page asap.

Can I just say how honoured I felt to capture their beautiful day and I also believe a big congratulations is in order, as two become three later on this year!!  Fantastic news for you guys and for all of your friends and family!

Meet ‘The Ogden’ family.  Four beautiful children… mum  & dad aren’t bad either!!  And not forgetting our little Peggy who is recent addition to our family:) She is a Patterdale terrier and  just adorable:)  A big thanks to my sister Sarah for the loan of her gorgeous new pup on the day… enjoy:)

Jo & Brad had met in Ibiza at Bora Bora three years ago.  As far as the wedding speeches go, “it was love at 1st sight”!  They both now live down in Essex near to Brad’s family so had planned a northern based wedding to be nearer to Jo’s family. Arley Hall was their choice of venue,  which was also “love at 1st sight”!!

We all met up at Arley for their pre-wedding shoot back in May.  They were both were in great spirits and up for a bit of creative shooting (I think the taster session including the wine and cocktails had helped on that day!).  It was a great shoot and I knew that the Wedding Day was going to be pretty special!

Joanna’s dress was simply stunning, it was from 7th heaven bridal in Congleton and the flowers were from 2lipsflorists in Stockton Heath.  I did shed a tear (along with the rest of the room) when they were saying their vows (I always do).  We also all had a bit of a giggle as the registrar got her words mixed up and declared Jo as Brad’s new husband!!

As Jo and Brad had met in Ibiza and had themed their whole day around the sun, sea and sand.  They thought it only right to give their guests a little slice of an Ibiza mash up at the end of the night!! Shades were handed out to all of their ‘still standing’ guests and with the tunes bangin, the party really started to go BONKERS!!

Guys, I hope you had the most amazing day and relaxing honeymoon in Mauritius, looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Jieshan and Jiakeng had organised a beautiful Chinese Wedding celebrations over two Tuesdays at the beginning of September (lucky days in the Chinese calendar apparently).  Jieshan looked amazing in no more than three wedding dresses, all bought by the mother-in-law in China (of course!). The wedding cars were provided by Platinum Wedding Cars who have a fantastic range of modern and vintage motors right here in West Manchester! My second shooter for the two days was Daniel from Eden Photography, check out his work… he’s amazing!

The Chinese Tea Ceremony took place at both parents homes and again at the reception venue.  It was amazing to witness.  With gifts of gold and money swapping hands and tea being drank between the two families to celebrate. I can quite honestly say that the guests were a real pleasure to work with… such a happy bunch of people! Enjoy…

Believe it or not… Christmas is only 3 months away!!  I know, shocking isn’t it!!

However, here at Zen Photographic were embracing the season change and hoping for a bit of Manchester sunshine before the dark winter really kicks in! Autumn & Winter portraits are simply stunning, the colours look amazing against the autumn leaves and the winter snow. The beautiful soft afternoon light, getting the kids all wrapped up looking cosy in scarfs, hats and wellies, it really can be a special time of year and look great on photographs.

The next three months are a busy time over at ZP.  With a shooting cut off point of Sunday 27th November and a ordering cut-off point of Sunday 4th December, there really is no time like the present to ensure your presents get there on time! Haha!!

Claire from Claire Penn Photography was my second shooter on the big day.   Claire and I met through a mutual photographer friend almost a year ago and have continued to support each other ever since.

Paul and Shellee admitted from the start they were not really interested in having their photo taken, however, it seemed like a good idea to get them involved and after a little while, they realised that it’s not so bad, in fact it’s actually quite good fun! The boys made it look like easy work!

We met last weekend to go through the final details and to capture some pre-wedding shots of the two of them in preparation for their big day.  The couple met at Bora Bora in Ibiza, they are both are still totally in love with the White Isle and in fact are having an ‘Ibiza style Hour’ at the evening reception, which should make for some interesting shots!!
